The Center for Human Services (CHS) was established as a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization in 1968. Since then, CHS has worked through grants from private organizations and federal, state, and local governments to implement programs aimed at improving public health, education, and social services, particularly for under-served populations within the U.S. and in developing countries. As the non-profit affiliate of University Research Co., LLC (URC), CHS shares URC’s staff, facilities, and capabilities. |

Across borders, CHS' strategic objective links our experience in the U.S. and internationally to programs that meet the needs of Hispanic communities both north and south of the border. Our Hispanic-Latino Initiative addresses education and health promotion for Hispanic communities in the US and promotes development in the immigrants’ countries. |
